Halloween Pretzel Bites

It’s spooky season! Time for some festive recipes. These halloween pretzel bites are super easy to make and great to take to a holiday party. All you need are pretzels, hershey kisses, candy corn, and an oven. The other great thing about this recipe is you can make as much or as little as you want.

To make these, you just need to layer a baking sheeting with the pretzels and place 1 hershey on each pretzel. Put them in an oven set to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and let cook for 5 minutes. When you take them out, the hershey kisses should look shiny, but they will still maintain their original shape. Immediately after taking them out of the oven, place a piece of candy corn on top and gently press down into the hershey kiss. If you wait too long, the chocolate will harden and you won’t be able to place the candy corn on correctly.

Alternative ideas for this recipe include swapping out the candy corn for some halloween M&M’s, or some Reese’s pieces. You can also get creative with what type of hershey kisses you use on the pretzels. Keep in mind, any ingredient swaps could potentially adjust the phe amount.  Another low-pro swap would be to try using Ajinomoto’s Chocolate Cha-Cha’s instead of Hershey kisses, but I haven’t used them so I don’t know how well they melt. If you use the Cha-Cha’s, the phe per serving would be 12.5 mg instead of 34.5mg, so definitely worth trying if you like those.

This is a super sweet treat for any halloween party, and very quick to make. I am meeting up with my book club next weekend for the month of October and we’re having a picnic at a park for this meet-up, and I plan on making more of these and bringing them along.

Try out these Halloween Pretzel bites and let me know what you think! I hope you enjoy them!
